Monday Mayhem: Stuck!

Do you know what it feels like to be stuck?

Sure you do.

When you’re working at a job that you hate, but you can’t quit because you have bills to pay. Stuck.

When you’re up at 2am with a colicky baby who won’t go to sleep, but you don’t have any more vacation days, so you still have to get up for work at 6am. Stuck.


When you’re trying to finish that essay for class and your grade is on the brink, but the words won’t come, the concepts are confusing and the keyboard won’t budge. Stuck.

When you’re a writer. And the words don’t come. That same keyboard that your students are fighting is also fighting you. Stuck.

Some of you have asked, “where’s Monday Mayhem?” I haven’t seen it in a while. It’s stuck.

Somewhere between QWERTY and the 6am alarm.


Anybody have any ideas? I’d love to hear them. What do you do to get unstuck?

I’m going to look again at Valorie Burton’s Get Unstuck Be Unstoppable and I’ve heard great things about Chrystal Evans Hurst She’s Still There.
